The Court Case
4.
On the same day as above, (as 1251 BC), I attend an all-day court case for my two friends that are wrongfully charged. One of them has a vision about the blood of Atonement and the other receives a word about "Satan falling like lightning," and about
treading upon "serpents and scorpions"; (recall Kathy's dream).
They did not know it, but that day was "the Day of Atonement" on
the 360 calendar, (Lev. 16; 23:26-32; Num. 29:1-6), also known as the Day of
Judgment, and in this particular year, "the Day of Jubilee" as
well, (i.e., from decree of Nehemiah in 445 BC, with Dan. 9).
According
to Jewish tradition, this day (on 360 calendar) also marked the end of the
"10 days of Awe". (The first 10 days of the civil Jewish year
ending on the Day of Atonement is considered the 10 days when a man is
judged by God and counted worthy or not to live another year. Again, we are
talking the 360 calendar here. My two
friends, though wrongfully accused according to the laws of God, are given
one-year probation (as sentenced the next day). And thus the Day of
Atonement to them is bitter-sweet. They are both set free on this day from imprisonment
in keeping with the spirit of the Day of Jubilee; however, they are still
punished in keeping with the law of the Days of Awe. It marks the conclusion
of several years of great trial for this couple.
I
find in these events, and the timing of these events, a reflection of Rev.
2:8-11, that is, the letter to the church of Smyrna. We are for a sign of
what is to come. (God typically spoke this way to his prophets of old, and
we ought not to think it strange that God would do the same today --- in
keeping with His revealed character! God is, and ever will be, a very
personal Being, who is very much a part of the lives of His servants.) And
as a sign, don't look for a perfect fit. The two who were charged felt that
their long-delayed trial, and the trial itself, were induced by "the
devil", and in that sense this couple reflected the verse, "...Behold,
the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried;
and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death,
and I will give thee a crown of life." (Importantly, see the
accompanying signs given the next day, etc., and the previous dream about
the unjust court case of a Jew and a Gentile dreamed 20 days earlier.)
Rev 2:8-9 And unto the
angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the
last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and
poverty, (but thou art rich) and [I know]
the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are]
the synagogue of Satan.
Rev 2:10 Fear none of those
things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some]
of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation
ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of
life. (Compare all this to the "10 days of
Awe". Numerically, this 10 days ties in with the 1260-days of Rev. 12
and the various timing of the signs here discussed. These biblical
time-frames are all very precise, and the bible gives them so that we may
know with certainty that these signs, and the coming events that they
signify, are both from God.)
Rev 2:11 He that hath an
ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that
overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. (Note,
"the second death" refers to the Great White throne Judgment.
See the signs of the next day, and of this very judgment!)
