The Sad Japan Catastrophic Quake on March 11, 2011
and the Symbolism of the Christchurch Quake
"And, lo, there was a great earthquake..."
"...and every mountain and island were moved out of their places."
(Rev. 6:9)
The quake was another birth pang before Jesus comes,
And a wake-up call "from Him who sits on the throne".
(Rev. 6:16)"We know that all creation is still groaning and is in pain,
like a woman about to give birth." (Romans 8:22)
It was also an analogy of this verse:
"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:
and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"
(1Peter 4:17)
This is the context of the above verse from 1Peter: Christ's Church was being persecuted by the world and Peter writes to the Church to encourage them to endure their fiery trial. He reminds them that at the end this age the world will be judged for how they have treated them, and that the judgement of the world will be far greater then theirs because it comes not to cleanse, but as delayed pent-up vengeance, (2Thess. 1:8). The Japan quake was a mere token warning of this, a moan of earth that echoed the groan of God and His people.
Just 17 days before the Japan quake, the Christchurch quake struck in New Zealand. And shortly after the quake at Christchurch, believers around the world were reminded how many of their fellow believers are currently being persecuted by the world. They were especially reminded of this when gunmen shot and killed Pakistan's Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti, a Christian. He publicly challenged the country's controversial blasphemy laws and demanded more rights for minority Christians in the mainly Islamic nation. Believers in that country were left shaken and afraid, with no one left to trumpet tolerance in that country. As usual, the world yawned apathetically and politicians turned a blind eye. That was on March 2, 2011. Then, about a week later, the great quake in Japan struck. All this calls to mind the following passage from the book of Revelation:
(Rev. 6:9,12,14). "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held... And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake..." "...and every mountain and island were moved out of their places." (Note: The island of Japan literally "was moved out of its place" 8 feet by the quake and shifted the Earth on its axis nearly 10 in.)
This is what I believe the Lord is saying:
The two earthquakes, the one in Christchurch and the one in Japan, is a God-given analogy. Judgement first began at Christchurch ("Christ's-Church") with a mag. 6.9 quake. It did much damage locally. However, 17 days later -- in the country of the rising-sun -- the record mag. 9 quake occurred. It was a colossal 200 times worse than the quake at Christchurch. Felt around the world by way of tsunami and by way of economic impact on the Stock Market, it shifted the earth's axis nearly a foot, the island of Japan moved 8 inches. Mighty waves rippled out. Mighty aftershocks rocked the island for days. A volcano blasted. Nuclear power plants nearly melted down -- the land of the Atom bomb remembered. Japan's government estimates that the quake may top 300 billion U.S. dollars, which would make it easily the world's most expensive natural disaster. Aftershocks will likely continue for about half-a-year.
So, what is God saying?
The quake at Christchurch is symbolic of the trials endured by Christ's Church, whereas the much greater quake in Japan is symbolic of the whole world --- from the rising sun to its setting.
God wants His people in Pakistan, and in dozens of nations like it, to recall the admonition given by Peter.
1Peter 4:12-14 Dear brothers, do not be surprised, as if it was something strange, if your faith is tested as by fire: But be glad that you are given a part in the pains of Christ; so that at the revelation of his glory you may have great joy. If men say evil things of you because of the name of Christ, happy are you; for the Spirit of glory and of God is resting on you.

What Christians Should Do
Pray for the suffering in Japan and Christchurch. God delights in mercy.
"O Lord, in wrath remember mercy!" (Hab. 3:2.)
Pray for the suffering church.
Help in any way you can.
Why Japan?
Japan endured the brunt of this calamity, not because it is more wicked than all other nations, (including the city of Christchurch), but for symbolic reasons: Geologically speaking, Japan, "the land of the rising sun", is first among the nations, and judgement will soon spread from east to west -- and west to east. (The waves moved east across the Pacific to the America's where further damage was caused, although to a much lesser extent.)
Interestingly, the city of Christchurch was named after Christ Church Oxford University, (Latin: Ędes Christi, the house (ędēs) of Christ, and thus sometimes known as The House). Similarly, "the church of God" in 1Peter 4:17 is literally translated, "the house of God". "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1Peter 4:17 KJV)
Moreover, there are important numerical considerations. God has timed these things to demonstrate God's sovereign control over all things. He measures the span of every calamity, for both believers and non-believers.
The Jubilees
The Japan record quake occurred about 3 pm, (Japan time), on March 11, 2011, at mag. 9 on the Richter scale. Earth groans under the load of a rebellious planet as it anxiously awaits the coming King, (Rom. 8:22).
"We know that all creation is still groaning and is in pain, like a woman about to give birth." (Romans 8:22)
As you can see from the 360-calendar chart , the massive earthquake occurred just a few hours before the New Year on the 360-calendar, which means that many of the tsunamis that followed throughout the world were on New Year's day (Japan time). (Remember that a day on the 360 calendar begins the evening before. Also see note about how the Balance Bible Code predicted the timing of this tsunami.) Thus, the earthquake and tsunamis that followed occurred on a auspicious day, that is, on the onset of the New Year according to the 360 calendar. And this means that the quake occurred seven-years from when the 12 comets began to appear, the significance of which was explained before.
But this New Year was no ordinary one. It marked the very end of an ongoing series of seven-year Sabbath cycles that began the day Israel entered the Promised Land in the spring of 1406 BC, (Lev. 25). We have been discussing these seven-year cycles on our websites for about 20 years now. This is nothing new. However, this great quake marks the beginning of the last two cycles that end AD 2025 because 2025 will be 7 x 7 x 70 years from 1406 BC. This is a very important biblical time frame to do with the jubilee cycles as commanded by God in Lev. 25. (One jubilee is "7 x 7" years. Also see, Dan. 9 for a Grand Jubilee of "70 x 7" years. AD 2025 will be the seventh Grand Jubilee. "70 x 7 x 7" equals 3430 years. Interestingly, the earthquake at Christchurch occurred on the 343rd day of the year on the 360 calendar, one-tenth of the same except in years. {343 equals 7 x 7 x 7 days.})
Thus, there are only two more seven-year cycles until the climax of AD 2025, with the last one possible being the Great Tribulation period. (However, it is very possible that the Great Tribulation spoken of in the bible might occur during the seven years that follow AD 2025 instead, just as there was seven-years of conquering the land after Israel entered the Promised Land of Canaan in 1406 BC. Moreover, God reserves the right to delay this final event even longer; nevertheless, He has promised not to delay forever, lest men loose heart, for He knows that we are but dust, and our years are like a passing vapor. I will not elaborate further as to why these last few cycles of seven-year periods are especially important. Instead, I point the reader to the previous links for further study about that. (Note: The coming "Comet Elenin" on Tabernacles, 2011, is also related to these series of seven-year cycles. Look for a soon-coming article about that!)
I believe that there is a connection with this earthquake and the prophecy found in the Lion Bible Code -- just as there was in the 2004 tsunami. Note the series of articles already written six years ago that connect these 12 comets to the Great Tsunami of 2004 (Dec. 26). {See, Tsunami (1) (2) (2a) (2b) (comets). These earlier articles will help the reader understand the unlikely, yet real, connection that exists between these comets and the tsunami, both in 2004 and now.}
Jesus said, "And there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences;
and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven." "And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows." (Luke 21:11, 25)
Predicted by Balance Bible Code
I believe that the timing of the tsunami was also predicted by the Balance Bible Code seen below. I discuss this briefly in another article to do with the outbreak of forest fires and tornadoes in mid April, 2011, as also predicted by this same Picture Bible Code, which prediction was put on the internet several months before it happened, and proved accurate to the very hour! Read what the lion picture code says below, as posted on the internet seven years ago. This is the same image that is associated with the 12 comets as previously discussed, which seven-year span ended at the time of this massive quake with its tsunamis.
In the code, note the following words:
"With ease He Himself will consume, sweeping clear, soaring and roaring!"
The "roaring" reminds me of the sound of an earthquake, and "sweeping clear" reminds me of the sweeping effects of the flood waters of a tsunami. I also believe that this code and it companion one (The Balance Bible Code), points to the coming of tornadoes on the said days predicted, as explained a month ago. But perhaps this event, coming as it did on the onset of the 360-calendar New Year, is the first wave of what's to come.
While I did not predict this event from my analysis of previous patterns, neither is it outside the pattern. Remember, I am not predicting these things as a "Thus sayeth the Lord!, but simply from studying previous patterns related to the codes and thereby deducing likely future scenarios.
